Starting your Neurofeedback Therapy
What is neurofeedback therapy?
Neurofeedback, also known as EEG Biofeedback, senses and records a patient’s brainwave activity and adjusts what the patient is seeing or hearing in real time. By doing a prescribed set of activities, a patient’s brain is ‘retrained’ back to normal brainwave patterns. The results often present as restored health, healing, and functionality.
Neurofeedback is a state of the art, non-intrusive and non-pharmaceutical method. It uses science over guesswork to detect the root cause of your health imbalance. It is also completely natural and non-habit forming.
Zone Pyschology in Edmonton uses neurofeedback to treat conditions such as anxiety, attention deficit disorder, depression and headaches. Talk to us today to get started!
A patient’s journey begins with a comprehensive assessment
The assessment allows us to determine whether a client’s brainwave patterns are different from normal. Based on their brain map results, we then create a restorative plan of care. A starting assessment takes about an hour.
If a course of therapy is chosen, the patient will have a number of neurofeedback sessions over a period of weeks or months. Sessions can happen at our offices, or we have neurofeedback home units available for loan for patients living far outside of Edmonton.
