What is neurofeedback therapy?

Neurofeedback therapy is a form of biofeedback therapy that uses sensors placed on the scalp to provide you with real-time feedback on your brainwave activity. Desired brainwave activity (such as an activity that results in calmness) is given positive feedback in the form of audio and visual rewards, and undesired brainwave activity (such as an activity that results in anxiety) isn’t. Ultimately, your brain becomes better at being in the desired state, thus making you feel better. The great thing about neurofeedback therapy is that it has virtually no side effects and can promote long-term changes and growth.
